Study Hall #14 - Season 6 Recap

Here we are, nearing the end of the road... This Study Hall is a long  one, but we think it's just because we're savoring these last few episodes of our podcast! This week, we recap the season that was and argue about our character rankings. Charles' final series finale predictions: There is a wedding (and it's Joey’s wedding to either Dawson or Pacey) The other characters are all single (or at least not in a committed relationship) Dawson will be a director  Pacey is a restauranteur  Joey will be in a Ph.D. program, studying Comparative Literature Jen and Jack are working together in New York, possibly running a non-profit  Audrey is a TV personality (and divorced from Todd) Grams is alive!  Lily, Alexander, Bessie, Bodie, and Gail will all be present for the wedding Episode links: Ask Us Anything! Study Hall #12 - Season 5 Recap

We're saying goodbye to season 5 officially, and we couldn't be more happy to see it go. But there were some good moments, and we want to acknowledge those too! From top 5 moments to favorite new characters, we run through the best of what felt like a very long 23 episodes. From Traci: "Does anyone else feel like season 5 was basically two different seasons? I stand by what I said about liking Oliver in the beginning of the season. It feels like a waste of his character though when they send him further off the rails after he shoots the film with Dawson..." From Charles:  "Regarding Andie... I know she was only supposed to defer Harvard for a year, but I imagine she's still in Europe and takes the train up to Paris to visit Joey during the summer. I bet her life in Italy is great." And, finally... WE CAN'T BELIEVE WE'RE ABOUT TO START THE LAST SEASON! What a wild ride this has been. Stay tuned for 6x01, where we talk about our upcoming gi...

Study Hall #10 - Season 4 Recap

As much as we loved season 3, season 4 is probably our favorite. Across the board, there were more consistently good episodes and more new characters we loved (even if we had to say goodbye to them, sigh). We aren't thrilled about the direction the Pacey/Joey ship went and we hate, hate, HATE  what happened to Andie, but the fact that season 4 gave us a main character we could genuinely root for was a nice change. If you've made it this far in our Dawson's Creek  journey – thank you!! We love you all and can't wait to embark on the college years together. From Traci:  "I'll be honest, the college years aren't super fresh in my mind, so a lot of the next two seasons will be like both Charles and I are both watching it for the first time." See you all next week for season 5!! Episode links: #NoSpoilersForCharles Got something to say? Reviewing the reviews! Traci and Charles talk about how 1998 TV critics liked (and, mainly, didn’t like) “Dawson’s Creek.” Plus: did the LA Times reveal a scrapped part of Tamara Jacobs’ backstory?? Review: 'Dawson’s Creek' - Ray Richmond ( Variety ) "Tech credits are all top-notch." TELEVISION REVIEW; Young, Handsome and Clueless in Peyton Place - Caryn James ( New York Times ) "Because the main characters are 15, it may be redundant to say the show is mostly about sex."
